SUMMARY:Living your Best Life at any Age
DESCRIPTION:Vitality of a Heartland Viking: Scandinavian Philosophy for Living Your Best Life at any Age. We’ll be talking about Scandinavian philosophy and how to use the Viking mindset to live your best life here in the Heartland of America. Live fully\, gain vitality\, and have fun in all you do at any age! On With the Butter! 2 Sessions at the Arts building. 10:30am and 2:30pm.\n\nHeidi Herman was born and raised in Central Illinois\, but her passion and a common theme in her writing is her Icelandic heritage. After a 30-year career in business\, Heidi began writing fiction. She was inspired by her mother\, Íeda Jónasdóttir Herman\, after she published a childhood memoir about growing up in Iceland. Heidi wrote several children’s books based on Icelandic folklore\, an Icelandic-American cookbook\, and a novel with Icelandic themes. Her newest work\, “On With The Butter: Spread More Living Onto Everyday Life” was inspired while Heidi completed her mother’s final work\, “Never Too Late.” Íeda Jónasdóttir Herman (1925-2019) was 94 years old and had finished a year of new experiences to prove one is never too old to enjoy life. That message\, along with her mother’s example\, led Heidi to write her recent motivational book.\nHeidi has lived in South Dakota for three years\, and in addition to writing\, she loves Scandinavian festivals\, cooking\, photography\, travel\, and exploring the outdoors. Heidi considers herself a second-generation life adventurer and is always open to the next challenge.
